Our privacy contact
Peblet World is operated by Gemma Beames, a sole trader in Queensland, Australia (ABN 15 681 789 787). Gemma is our privacy contact. Parents, carers and teachers can email hello@pebletworld.com. Children are not asked to contact us.
This notice covers the Peblet World information website, previous web saves and our mobile apps. The current public game is the iPhone and iPad app; browser play has closed.
What stays on the device
Peblet World keeps player nicknames, Peblet choices, optional pet names, game progress, pretend money balances and learning activity on the device. Previous web progress remains in the original browser's local storage. Mobile progress is kept in app storage.
There is no online child account, cloud save or automatic progress sync between devices. We do not store nicknames, progress, pretend money or player backups on our servers or in Cloudflare databases.
The game does not ask children for their full name, school, address, photograph, voice recording or contact details. Please use a nickname rather than a child's real name.
No play or marketing analytics
We do not run server-side play or marketing analytics. We do not send play-session identifiers, activity pings, stage-entry counts or marketing events to a measurement database. We do not keep a database of play sessions or website visits.
Parent / Teacher View uses progress and learning information kept on the device. It does not send that information to us.
There are no ads, behavioural tracking or chat in the children's game. We do not sell personal information.
Pages, artwork and offline play
Browser play closed on 6 October 2026. The website provides information, an App Store link and a local backup-recovery page. Retiring browser play does not delete existing local saves. Old offline copies may remain on a device until it reconnects and receives the website update. Current mobile apps include game files and artwork in the app.
Some versions may download optional later-world artwork from pebletworld.com, then keep it on the device. These downloads supply artwork assets only; they do not upload player progress or backups. App versions that already include the artwork do not need those downloads.
Backups a grown-up chooses to make
A grown-up can export or import a player backup in the app’s Parent / Teacher View. Previous web players can download their original local player records from the website’s backup-recovery page using the same device, browser and website address. Peblet World does not automatically upload backups or receive a copy.
A backup can contain nicknames, progress and learning information. Keep it private. If you choose to save or share it through email or a cloud service, that service handles the copy under its own policies. Your device's backup settings may also make copies outside the device.
Deleting game data
A grown-up can reset or delete a player in Parent / Teacher View. Clearing the browser's site data or app storage, deleting the app, or resetting a device may also remove local progress.
These actions do not delete backups you previously exported or copies made by your device's backup service. You manage those copies separately. We cannot recover local progress that has been deleted without a usable backup.
Device access and sound
The children's game does not use the camera, microphone, location or contacts, or request advertising-tracking permission. Optional sound effects do not record audio.
A grown-up may use the device's file picker or share sheet to import or export a backup. The Parent / Teacher age check happens on the device; the birth year entered for that check is not saved or sent to us.
Website delivery and technical records
Our public website is hosted directly on Cloudflare, which delivers its pages and artwork. We retain the previous OpenAI ChatGPT Sites deployment as a recovery copy; it is not the host serving pebletworld.com. Providing website and artwork delivery involves network requests. Providers may keep ordinary technical and security records, such as IP addresses, request times and requested files, under their own policies. They may also use security cookies to protect the site. Provider-managed recovery copies may remain temporarily under the provider's retention policies.
Those delivery and security records are separate from a Peblet World play or marketing analytics database. We do not use them to build child profiles. Hosting may involve systems outside Australia, including the United States and other countries where providers operate.
Apple, Google and other providers may handle app downloads, store diagnostics, test feedback or device backups under their own policies and your settings. Local-only game progress does not mean those separate services keep no technical records.
You can read the OpenAI privacy policy, Cloudflare privacy policy, Apple privacy information and Google privacy policy for information about those services. Their privacy pages also provide contact and privacy-request options.
GitHub and Codemagic support our private software development and app builds. They handle source files and release material; we do not send children's saved games or support correspondence to them. These services may operate outside Australia, including in the United States and other countries used by their providers. See the GitHub privacy statement and Codemagic privacy policy.
App Store reports and social pages
We may review Apple’s aggregate App Store reports, such as downloads and, where people have opted in to share analytics with developers, app usage and reliability. Apple provides these reports under its policies and device settings. This does not give us access to a child’s nickname, pretend money, saved progress or learning activity.
Our website links to our Facebook and Instagram pages for grown-ups. Those links do not embed social tracking on this site. If you choose to visit or interact with our social pages or adverts, Meta processes that activity under its own policies. We may view aggregate page and advert results there; we do not send children’s game activity to Meta.
These separate platform reports do not add a Peblet World play-session or website-visit database. You can read Apple’s privacy information and Meta’s privacy policy for their handling of information.
Support email
Grown-ups may email hello@pebletworld.com for help or feedback. Incoming mail is routed through Cloudflare Email Routing to our Gmail mailbox, provided by Google. We use your message to respond and manage your request.
You do not need to email us or provide personal contact details to play. If you ask for help but choose not to provide the information needed to understand your request, we may be unable to resolve it. Please share only what is necessary.
These providers process the sender's email address, message, attachments and technical mail information needed to deliver, secure and manage email. Gmail stores the correspondence. Support email is separate from on-device player data; emailing us does not give us access to a child's game or device.
Email services may process information outside Australia, including in the United States and other countries where the providers operate. Their handling is described in the Cloudflare privacy policy and Google privacy policy.
Please do not send a child's full name, school, address, photograph or player backup. If troubleshooting needs more information, we will ask a grown-up for the minimum needed.
Access, correction, deletion and complaints
To ask for access to, correction of or deletion of personal information you have sent us, or to make a privacy complaint, email hello@pebletworld.com. Briefly tell us what you need. We may ask for the minimum information reasonably needed to confirm that you are entitled to access or change the information.
We acknowledge requests and complaints within 5 working days and aim to provide a response within 30 calendar days of receiving them, free of charge. If we need more time, we will explain why and give you an expected response date. If we cannot fulfil a request, we will explain the reason and any available next steps.
Player data stays on the device. A grown-up manages app data through Parent / Teacher View or the device’s storage controls, and previous browser data through the browser’s site-data controls. Peblet World cannot remotely access, correct or delete that local data. Exported backups and copies made by a device backup service must be managed separately.
If you are unhappy with our response, or have not received one within 30 days, you can read the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner's privacy complaints guidance for advice on whether the OAIC can consider your complaint and how to contact it.
How long we keep correspondence
We normally delete resolved support correspondence 12 months after the request is closed. We aim to delete attachments within 30 days after resolution. Where an attachment cannot be removed separately, we keep only the necessary support record and delete the message containing the attachment.
If a message includes unnecessary information about a child, we remove that information sooner, as soon as reasonably practicable.
We may need to keep particular records longer to deal with a complaint, investigate a security incident or meet a legal obligation. We record the reason and set a review date, then delete the information when it is no longer needed.
Deleting our copies does not immediately remove every provider-managed backup or technical record. Some copies may remain temporarily under the providers' own retention and recovery policies.
Changes to this notice
We will update this notice if our handling of information changes. The date above shows when this version took effect.
